Adam Lavigne helps us Expand our horizons

On June 15, the Columbus Bonsai Society will be privileged to have Adam Lavigne as its guest visiting artist. Adam is an expert in tropicals as he hails from Orlando Florida. He has been involved in maintaining the bonsai collection at Disney World's Epcot Center. He is renowned for his ability to carve deadwood and styling bonsai. While he is an expert with Ficus, he also is known for his work on Schilling Holly, Trident Maples, Elms, Bald Cypress, Pines, and Junipers. While it is late in the game, we do have one slot available in the BYOT Workshop, which begins at9:30 AM - Participants will need to bring all their own materials, as this is a Bring your Own workshop.

In the afternoon at
1:30, we will begin a Ficus Retusa or Tiger Bark Ficus Workshop. There may be two opening left, if you contact Ken Schultz before Adam leaves Florida it may not be too late to add a tree to the load.

Observers are welcome as this is our regular monthly meeting; we just ask that you respect the ongoing work between Adam and the workshop participants by limiting your questions.

This event will be held at Franklin Park Conservatory in Classrooms B, C&D.
