The Board is always seeking ideas for what would interest people at monthly meetings, but we especially want to make this a banner year as we celebrate our 40th anniversary in February. Currently we have Frank Mihalic coming back in March to work on the club taxus for a demo, and Andy Smith of Golden Arrow bonsai coming in April to work on collected trees with us. However, we always need ideas for meetings, and if you are interested in moderating any particular topic that is a bonus for us.

Due to the demolition of our previous show location (Mannerchoir in German Village), we are looking for a new venue to host our show. Check out our Galleries section to see previous show photos. We would like an indoor facility with adequate lighting and parking and free admission for visitors of the show.
Please email us at email@example.com if you have some place in mind.
Keith Scott owned a bonsai nursery in Chagrin Falls in the 1960's and 70's before becoming the curator of the bonsai collection at Phipps Conservatory. The Columbus Bonsai Society Club logo tree came from his nursery. Dawes Arboretum has a Scotts pine that also came from his nursery at the same time. Keith has an smooth bark elm tree in the National Arboretum (pictured). Keith was a frequent teacher to our club and many others including Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Akron-Canton.
