ANNUAL BONSAI CLUB SHOW TO HIGHLIGHT TINY TREES
Significant Anniversary to be celebrated with new producing partner
The fascination of miniature trees will be celebrated when the Columbus Bonsai Society presents the 50th edition of their annual show. The Bonsai Society is an educational and social organization for those interested in the classic Japanese form of horticulture, and presents a show each year as a means of educating the public about the art form.
This Golden Jubilee edition of the event will be presented at Dawes Arboretum, in Newark Ohio.
During the two day event club members will display many examples of the miniature trees they have patiently trained and nurtured. Workshops and demonstrations will take place during the show, so participants can get a hands on feel for what is involved in creating bonsai.
A demonstration of bonsai care & styling techniques will be given at each day of the show. This presentation is open to all and suitable for all audiences-no special knowledge needed. Questions from the audience are welcome.
Vendors will be on hand selling finished bonsai as well as plant material, tools and other supplies for bonsai work.
Admission to Dawes Arboretum grounds does require a modest charge.. There is no additional cost for all bonsai events.
A complete schedule of demonstrations, workshops and other activities will be posted on the Club’s Facebook page and the Club website.
